EPCoT as it is known is part of the famous Walt Disney World® Resort - Epcot® and entry is by ticket only and we recommend that this park be visited but we recommend that you spend a full day visiting the two distinctive sections known as Future World & World Showcase and, indeed, experience is that this second most popular park within the DISNEY stable requires tow day visits ensuring that on one day at least you make sure to stay for the amazing laser show. Epcot shows the genius and vision of Walt Disney, but today much of his vision of the future looks a little weird to us in that much of “vision” seems a little bit like old hat—remember it was I only in the late 1960s that calculators were invented and a few years later people marvelled at written messages being sent down a telephone wire to arrive across the world in seconds [yes— fax machines] and that computers took up vast amounts of floor space j just to maintain data –such is progress and now you are probably reading this on a screen having accessed lastminutedreamvillas through the internet and the web.

As ever there is always a right and a wrong way to tour the park. To avoid the worst of the queues, take advantage of the free Disney Fast Pass system, which allows you to get a ticket, which is printed, with a time for you to return to the ride to join the express line, which saves queuing for too long. You can only have one Fast Pass running at a time, but once the time has expired, you can get another one, so if you're careful with your planning you can avoid queuing all day. If you do not wish to purchase such a ticket then the ‘back to front” rule applies. You must experience though the pavilions – travel the world: see the sites and smell the food by visiting pavilions from all over the word and more The staff in each section are native to the country they represent, and you do get a sense of the very diverse cultures which exist. A tip for the children [and those who are children at heart ---collect a free cardboard mask on a stick from one of the stalls. Then as you visit each different country ask for it to be stamped and give you a cardboard shape, which represents their country to tie on to the mask. It makes a great souvenir although it does mean the kids will want to walk right round the lake and visit each country – but then that is their prerogative

Epcot is no different from any Disney park there are many great activities to enjoy and certainly far too many in this great theme park to list on this page. There will be activities you love, some you hate and some are just ok—but it is all down to individual taste—one thing is certain no one goes away from EPCOT without feeling that it has been a day well spent whether it be on the rides, the dining or whatever. And to conclude your day at EPCOT find yourself a vantage spot and enjoy the IllumiNations, the evening firework and laser show. You'll get a good view from just about anywhere around the lake so it isn't difficult to find a good spot.

Our experience is that after a long day and a late night at EPCOT you may wish to have a quieter day following--- a long lie in, a swim in your own private pool, a coffee and some FLORIDA orange juice to recharge the batteries for another day!!
